What breeds of dogs are problems with insurance companies?
Any dog with biting history or any of the following breeds: Akita, American Bull Dog, Bull Mastiff or Mastiff, Chow, Doberman Pinscher, German Shepard, Yorkie, Pit Bull Terrier, Presa Canario, Rottweiler, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Wolf Dog or any mixture of these breeds

The standard homeowners policy does not cover you for flood. A separate policy must be purchased through NFIP. Please contact the office and we can discuss the potential need and the procedure by which coverage can be obtained.

Does my Homeowners insurance cover my collection of jewelry items?
Yes and no . . . coverage on jewelry is limited under the policy for the peril of theft. High valued jewelry pieces should be insured separately as a line item on your homeowners. Please call the office and we can explain the procedure to insure these items and the associated cost.

I have no “other structures.” Why do I have this coverage (Coverage B)?
Coverage B, Other Structures, is automatically included at 10 percent of Coverage A. There is no charge for this coverage, and if we reduce or remove the coverage, the premium will not be reduced.

How do I cancel my homeowners’ policy?
Please contact the office, and we will forward you a cancellation request, this needs to be signed by all named insureds on the policy and sent back to our office with the original policy which was forwarded to you at the time of renewal.
